The Beginner’s Guide to SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery

You’ve just been assigned as the pseudo DBA for your company. Now what?

Your very first task is to make sure that the databases are well-protected from any form of disasters. You’re still navigating your way around SSMS and you have no clue about what T-SQL is or what DMVs are. Expensive third-party backup tools are out of the picture and you need to get started immediately because your job is on the line.

This workshop will teach you how to protect SQL Server databases – even if you don’t know what’s going on inside the black box that is SQL Server. Inside this in-depth 7-hour training, I’ll show you EVERYTHING you need to know to have the skills, experience, and confidence to:

  • – Create a simple database maintenance plan to backup your databases so you can successfully restore them in the event of data failures
  • – Properly restore and recover a database in case something goes awfully wrong…even if you’ve never done it before
  • – Provide a standby server that you could immediately use when your main server becomes unavailable due to power failure, hardware failure, or any unexpected events
  • – Choose and design the right high availability and disaster recovery solution for your SQL Server databases
  • – AND…how to do ALL of this without wasting time on Google searching for answers and not worry about causing more issues. Stop wasting hours reading confusing Microsoft KB articles and documentation.
